Duraflex is a patent pending admixture for cement that improves soil stabilization and concrete modifications. With proven applications in Canada, South America and Asia, we are excited to provide Duraflex in the US!
Duraflex is a powder comprising of 100% natural minerals and certified Green Tech. Duraflex enables the creation of a hexagonal crystalline structure, which translates into a significant increase in bonding capabilities. Higher compressive strengths, and better flexural properties result from the closing of the capillary action of the matrix. Since the matrix is impermeable to water, acid and salts it creates a superior road base construction.
For soil stabilization, Duraflex is mixed with cement and applied by mechanical spreader on the area to be stabilized. Typical FDR equipment and construction methods apply.
Based on our testing, we recommend 2% Duraflex (by weight of cement) and 8-10% cement (by weight of soil). We welcome engineering and material-testing conversations with you to better understand your unique project conditions.
Project owners should experience a 20%+ reduction in costs associated with construction and maintenance of roadways built with Duraflex.
Duraflex works with diverse soil types, including those with a high plasticity index (PI). By effectively closing off the capillary action in the stabilized soil, Duraflex creates an impermeable
base from the in-situ soils that is waterproof and resistant to acids and salts. Road bases built with Duraflex are best in class.
Duraflex soil stabilization not only streamlines costs and schedules but also champions sustainability. By minimizing resource-heavy activities like mining and transporting aggregates,
Duraflex significantly curbs the construction and maintenance carbon footprint.
The 4th generation of Duraflex is a non-chloride admixture. Further, it is composed of all-natural minerals and mineralized compounds. Duraflex does not contain any volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and prevents leeching of pre-existing contaminates into the environment.
